Hoping for this to happen in February 2012.
Every Monday I’ll be giving tips on different perspectives on dating that will “free Your mind.” Like a true Maverick, I’ll give an unorthodox approach to everyday scenarios that will help you in your dating life and potentially beyond.
"Using football to meet
more women."
This post is meant specifically for football fans.
This post was inspired by the VERY annoying Jets fan screaming and slapping her hands on the bar everytime she saw a Jets player on the screen. I loathe you.
For the next 6 months, every Sunday, Monday night and some Thursday nights -- and if you love college football, Saturdays -- will be consumed by football.
As much as we will have our eyes glued to screen and screaming at ridiculous plays and calls, understand there's an opportunity to meet women easily.
As I post this, there are women heading to the bars, going to a friend's place, or throwing a party of their own, gearing up for football.
Some guys are intimidated because they think it's impossibe to meet women since they'll be focused on the game. That is true -- to an extent.
There's a lot of pride, emotion, camaraderie and bonding that comes with football and you can use this to your advantage.
The Maverick: Find out who is also supporting (or against) your team and use the commercials to start conversation.
Conversation will always be quick but that's how you'll want it to be. It'll give you an easy out and you can take your time connecting with her.
You can create friendly bets for every time a team scores or wins and bring a competitive nature between you two.
And in case you weren't sure, do not make the mistake and try to talk to her while the game is on. That's the time when nothing matters but the game.
If you're a football fan and would like to meet women, there's no better day to go than on Sundays.*
*Understand there will always be more men than women at these bars, which means two things.
1. Don't expect to have the pick of the litter.
2. Ladies, if you read to the end of this, know that if you enjoy watching football -- even if you don't understand it -- there's a chance you'll meet more guys on Sundays then you will have the whole weekend.
